It all started 29 years ago with a passion...
The Faculty at PE is comprised of qualified professionals in their field. They are not just dancers who teach, they are professionals sharing their knowledge and insight with enthusiasm and passion. Our mission at Power Explosion is to create an atmosphere that is family orientated, fun and relaxing and at the same time professionally managed. We are here to nurture, inspire and shape young lives in a positive manner.
The Story Behind PE
29 years ago, Power Explosion Studio of Dance opened its doors for the first time under the direction of Stacey Willett. Stacey was a young, inspiring teacher who wanted to follow her dreams and teach children to perform. Throughout her own dancing career from a young age, her grandmother supported her and was at every recital and performance. Ms. Stacey's dream of teaching and directing her own studio was made possible with the help of her grandmother, Donna Stephenson or "Grandma".
Over the course of 24 excellent years of dance at Power Explosion, Stacey was the voice and mind of the studio! In 2019 Shaina Warring, who has been a student of Power Explosion and of Stacey Willet since she opened her doors, became the new Owner and Director of Power Explosion Studio of Dance.
Power Explosion has now been training dancers for almost 30 years in the Southern Maryland area and has nurtured hundreds of young dancers since opening! We are truly One Studio, One Family!!
